Thomas is a Chicago area wedding photographer whose photographic journey is anything but typical.

His interest in photography began over 30 years ago while serving as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division taking photographs of the other soldiers in his unit. Following his military service he earned an Associate of Arts in Photography from the College of DuPage, a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Benedictine University and worked for over 22 years as a Crime Scene Investigator / Forensic Photographer; including 4 years at the DuPage County Coroners Office and over 18 years with a local police agency and county major crimes task force in the western suburbs of Chicago. Yes, he shot some crazy stuff and along the way he worked on both personal and commissioned portrait projects.

Today he focuses on documenting weddings in a style and approach best described as a generous mix of both modern posing and photojournalism techniques. One minute he is the silent photographer in the background capturing private, intimate moments and the next he is directing, composing and lighting to create images as unique as the people in them. Ultimately his goal is to create a relaxed and fun experience on your wedding day so that you get the beautiful images you want and still have time to enjoy the day with family and friends.

Thomas prefers working closely with clients and limits the number of weddings he undertakes each year to give clients the attention they deserve. He believes that the final product is not simply turning over digital files but the delivery of a signature series, heirloom wedding album; anything less is an incomplete service.
