My interest in photography began over 25 years ago while serving as an Infantryman is the US Army's 101st Airborne Division. I always had a camera with me and would make photographs of the other soldiers in my unit.
After leaving the Army I began a career in Law Enforcement where I was able to combine my interest of photography with the criminal justice field by becoming a Crime Scene Investigator / Forensic Photographer. This included 4 years as a full-time Death Investigator with the DuPage County Coroner’s office and another 17 years with a police agency in the western suburbs and holding an ancillary assignment as a CSI / Forensic Photographer on the county major crimes task force.
My formal education includes an Associate of Arts Degree in Photography Technology from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.
I am a board certified evidence photographer (CEP) with the Evidence Photographers International Council (EPIC)
and also served with EPIC as an instructor and image submission judge. I have taught forensic photography at the College of DuPage Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and North East Multi-Regional Training Center.
I continue to work a forensic photographer both in the field and as an instructor / lecturer. In addition to working with my own portrait and wedding clients I also have the privilege of working as a wedding photographer with George Street Photo & Video
in Chicago, Illinois. Most of the images shown on this site I shot for friends, family, co-workers and their referrals. If you were referred to this site by a common acquaintance and are in need of a photographer, please feel free to contact me.
